Gaa cul camp in Cloneen

November 7, 2018

The children who took part in this years Gaa Cul camp with their coaches.

The Gaa cul camp which was sponsored by Kellogs this year was held in Cloneen last week with over 50 children taking part. The Gaa cul camps provide boys and girls from the ages of 6 to 13 years with an action packed, fun filled week of activity which revolves around maximising enjoyment and sustaining participent involvement in gaelic games. The camp ran monday to friday from 10 am to 2.30 pm and despite the unfavourable weather conditions was thoroughly enjoyed by all the children who took part. Each day the children were divided into age appropiate groups where the coaches worked on specific skills of hurling and football. Small sided games were then played so the children could put into practice what they had learnt.
We sincerely thank the coaches James Logue, Jenny Logue, Michael Price and our own Paul Horan for their work and we hope now that the children will continue to practice the skills  they have learnt at home. We also thank Katrion Mockler who supervised the camp each day and made sure everything was in place.
