Junior Football

Our junior footballers played local rivals Ballingarry last Sunday morning in their second game of the championship. The first half was a scrappy affair with both teams guilty of careless passing and wayward kicking however we were just shading it at half time on a scoreline of 1-5 to 6 points. The second half was a better display with only a point or 2 in it for most of the half until we got a second goal 10 minutes from time which gave us some breathing space and we managed to hold on and won on a scoreline of 2-9 to 12 points. The team was: Richie Needham, Kieran Clancy, Colm Dunne, Conor Barry,  Paddy Moroney, Cathal Mahoney, Shane Gorey, Paul Horan, Darren Meagher, Mark Slattery, Mark Mullally, Robbie Meagher,  John Moroney, Tony O'Brien, Nicky Kearney Subs: Conor Clancy, Darren Boland, Aidan Buckley, Willie O'Brien, Aaron Cronin, Ciarán Mockler, James Buckley

Minor hurling

Our minor hurlers played their first game of the championship last Wednesday week in Kilsheelan against Grangemockler/Ballyneale. Our lads started well and although they conceded 2 soft goals they were still leading at half time on a scoreline of 1-9 to 2-3. However that was as good as it got for us though as Grangemockler grabbed 3 second half goals in the space of ten minutes and ended up winners on a scoreline of 5-15 to 1-14. Team on the night was: Darren Boland, Barry Dwyer, Charlie Manton, Jack Purcell, Ciarán Mockler, Conor Clancy, Conor Gorey, Cathal Mahoney, Niall Keane, Jamie Broderick, Cameron Moynihan, Eoghan Hurley, Alex Donovan, Aidan Buckley, Shane Hannigan Subs: Nathan Costin, Conor Cuddihy, Steven O'Brien

Our minor hurlers played their second game of the championship last Wednesday evening in Mullinahone against Carrick Davins. After losing their first game a win here was vital to keep their chances of progressing alive. Our ability to score goals was the difference between the sides at the end as we won on a scoreline of 4-9 to 12 points. The team was: Darren Boland, Jack Purcell, Paul Moloney, Conor Gorey, Joey Noonan, Conor Clancy, Ciarán Mockler, Cathal Mahoney, Niall Keane, Conor Cuddihy, Charlie Manton, Jamie Broderick, Steven O Brien, Aidan Buckley, Alex O Donovan Subs Eoghan Hurley, Shane Hannigan

Junior B hurling

Our junior B hurlers played their third game last Saturday against Killenaule in Ballingarry. After 2 wins out of 2 our lads would have been full of confidence however they were facing the reigning champions of this competition who had a good few players who played senior hurling in the last few years. Their greater experience told in the end and Killenaule won easily on a scoreline of 7-20 to 5 points. The team was:Darren Boland, Ivan Brett, William O’Brien, Anthony Barry, Tommy Hayes, Richard Needham, Conor Gorey, Ciarán Mockler, Dermot Molloy, Mark Slattery, Aarron Cronin,Conor Cuddihy, Noel Brett, T.J.
