Hard luck to our U-13 Girls in their League B Final on Sunday evening. They put up a very spirited performance and despite scoring two fantastic goals from Danielle Lambe early on, the rest of the game didn't go their way and Old Leighlin deservedly won on a scoreline of 3-6 to 2-0. A huge thank you to Claire Byrne King, Louise Lambe and Jim Whelan for all your hard work, time and dedication to the team. Well done to all the girls, you did your club, mentors and parents proud. PHOTO: A very successful Girls Under 10 Blitz took place in Clonmore last Saturday. 54 girls took part representing Tinahely, Baltinglass, Kilanerin and Clonmore. All the games were close and our girls really did us proud. Well done to everyone involved in organising this very enjoyable event.
