Girls underage football

Our U11 Girls were unlucky to lose out to Templeogue Synge Street in the Div1 Shield Final last Saturday afternoon up in Bushy Park. The final score was 1-5 to 1-3 but this was a great performance given that we only had the bare minimum of players some of which had come up from the U10 panel and we had also been promoted from the Div 2 Championship. It has been a great year for this team having already won the Division 2 league and they look forward now to playing in the top league and championship at U12 in 2009. Meanwhile our U10 Girls go from strength to strength and now face Ballinteer St Johns in the semi-final of the Div 2 Championship having defeated Scoil Ui Chonaill & St Margaret’s/Round Towers in their last two games.
