Following a five-nil win over Sligo’s Yeats County HC at the weekend, Greenfields 1sts have now won the 2010/2011 Connacht Senior League.
It was a well-deserved result, with goals from Mary Healy, Alma Whelan & Grace McCormack.
This victory entitles them to a chance at the ‘wildcard play-offs’ for the Irish Hockey League of next season, 2011/2012.
These play-off matches will be held in early May, against teams from Ulster, Munster & Leinster.
