Happy New Year and thank for your support in 2008

November 8, 2018

The Social Club enjoyed one of the best Christmas periods since it opened back in 1976 thanks to the efforts of the Club members who organised so many and varied social activities over the last number of weeks. Thanks also to everyone who came along to the club and supported all the functions not only over Christmas but throughout the year. We are fortunate to have a steady and loyal customer base which is very much appreciated and of great benefit financially to the upkeep of the Club. We hope to see more Club Members and new members frequent the premises in the hard times that are predicted for 2009.

Sincere thanks to all our club volunteers who did so much during 2008 for St Malachy’s GAC and to all our Club sponsors who contribute financially to support our club.

Thanks to our team coaches, team managers backroom staff and medical suport in hurling football camogie and ladies football, the coaches who provided skills training for our juveniles both on Saturday mornings in St Malachy’s Park and in the schools during the winter months. To the men who cut the grass on both pitches, marked and maintained them, our bus drivers and the men who maintained our social club and Park, the people that organised and ran the ladies and men’s sevens, the annual juvenile competition, the Golf Classic, F-Factors, Annual Summer Festival 600 Club Draw, weekly tote, the bingo callers and helpers, the ladies who helped at the annual cross community dinner, especially the cooks Josie Marco and Mickey, the helpers who run the over 55 club and to everyone that helped out in any way.

Last but not least a special word of thanks to the Club Executive who continue to lead the way in every aspect of club affairs and fund raising, and to our bar stewart HT who put in so much voluntary overtime into running the social club particularly over the Christmas period to ensure everything ran smoothly
