Intermediate C'ship FINAL: St Andrews 2-12 Clonmore 0-8

November 8, 2018

After playing with a strong wind, St Andrews led by 0-5 to 0-1 at half-time. Having not played well in the fiurst half, we were happy enough to be only four points behind with a strong wind to come.

But St Andrews got the first point of he second half and Clonmore were left with a mountain to climb when they went seven points ahead, 1-6 to 0-2, on 35 minutes with a goal by county hurler, Craig Doyle. Points by Gavin Byrne (2), Owen Coleman, Con Murphy and Shane McGrath reduced the arrears to four, 1-8 to 0-7, on 46 minutes but that was as close as we got. Bagenalstown then kicked three points in a row and a second goal on 56 minutes killed the gme as a contest.
