Intermediate Hurling League: Ballygarvan 1-16 Mallow 1-11

Ballygarvan had another good win in the intermediate hurling league, over a very tough Mallow side. Ballygarvan were very much in control from the off, much to the credit of the solid free taking from Stephen White and Mark Kennefick and some excellent saves by Liam Dillon. At half-time Ballygarvan were up 0-10 to 0-4.
Damien O’ Sullivan got the second half off to a great start when he scored an excellent point from a sideline cut. Gary White, who had a very solid game crowned it all with a goal after he made a brilliant run from midfield. Mallow also got a goal to lessen Ballygarvan’s lead to just 5 points and with both teams scoring a further 2 points each, giving Ballygarvan a comfortable win of 1-16 to 1-11.

Ballygarvan next Intermediate Hurling league match is on the 24th of April in Ballynoe.
