It's all starting now

  • Re-arranged Juvenile AGM takes place this Wednesday (12th) at 8pm in Club Grounds

  • A feast of juvenile action takes place this week down the park with three pre-season games to enjoy.  First up on Monday evening, the Under-14’s host Cuchullains.  The following evening, the U-14’s are again in action this time against Meath side, Kells.  Finally on Thursday evening, the Under-12’s take to the field with a game against Drumlane. All these matches throw in at 7pm.

These games are part of the early season build up to upcoming leagues matches.
Year after year these underage encounters throw up some of the most entertaining
football of the year and are well worth checking out for anyone looking for
something to do during the week. Who needs the champion’s league when you have
    this on your own doorstep!

  • The Minor’s league campaign continued at the weekend with a home match v Crosserlough.  Another impressive performance saw the Stars register their third consecutive victory of the campaign with a ten point victory and with three wins out of four in the league confidence is high as we seek to continue it’s good form.

  • The Senior’s were due to get their season under way with a trip to Cootehill in Division Two on Sunday, however this was called of due to an unplayable pitch. Ahead of that match our selectors for the coming season were confirmed as Sean (M&F) Farrelly and Philly McKeown.  As two long-standing and passionate clubmen, there is no doubt that they will be of great assisitance to Paddy Bates and the players in the season ahead. Next scheduled match is Sunday 23rd March at home to Drung.

  • The Juniors begin their Division Four season this weekend with a match away to Drumalee on 16th March.  Again, any effort made to support the side is appreciated.
