J.F.C. 1st Round

Junior Football C.Ship on St. Patrick’s Day

We play the first round of the East Cork JAFC on next Tuesday, St. Patrick’s Day. Since we went up to Junior A Grade football in 1994 we have never gone into a championship game with such poor form and expectations. After 4 rounds of the JFL we are pointless at the bottom of the League table. Last year we reached the League Final and championship semi-final but this season it’s so different. Injuries, retirements and players not playing football means that we have a much changed team from 2008. What makes the task more difficult is that our first round opponents are  last years champions Cloyne who are flying in the current league. They will be the hottest of favourites given our dismal league record. The game is fixed for Lisgoold at 11.30 on St. Patrick’s Day.
