Congratulations to Kilworth who won the 2006 County Junior Hurling Championship title at Pairc Uí Rinn on Saturday night. They had a thrilling 0-13 to 0-12 win over battling Dungourney. Having lost to Fr O’Neills in a replay in last years final, this was a great win for Kilworth. Dungourney gave them a marvelous game and it took a late point from man of the match Adrian Mannix to send the Johnny Quirke Cup to Kilworth. Three has been a long connection between our club and Kilworth going back to the 1880’s. in recent years they’ve tried hard to win this crown and now will be worthy representatives for Cork in the Munster and hopefully All Ireland Club Championships. Well done to all concerned.
