Junior Hurling

November 8, 2018

Nh Olaf 4-16  St Oliver Plunketts 0-11

Our Junior Hurling team had a big win against Plunketts in the second round of the Championship last night. Played away in Plunketts home ground our lads got stuck in right from the start and played some fantastic hurling. Our forward line were on fire with goals Chris Fennel and Timmie Cooney Points and points from Colly Delaney & James hughes. At half time we led by 2-07 to 0-04.
Plunketts came out strongly in the second half and only a great save by our goalie Ian whelan stopped them scoring a goal directly from the through in. But our forwards got going again and there was no stopping them. With Enda Brennan an David Mulkerrins running riot up front. Michael O Connor and Willy Byrne who were introduced in the second for Olafs also played very well.
Our defence withstood all plunketts had to offer in the second half, particularly Goalie Ian Whelan, Emmet Laffin, Tommy Brown and Chaomhain Bermingham in the half back line.
