Junior Hurling Championship

November 7, 2018

Our Junior A Hurlers began their Championship last Friday night in Killenaule where Clonmel Óg were our opponents. We were slow out of blocks and halfway through the first half we were behind on a scoreline of 2-4 to 5 points. The second Clonmel Óg goal however seemed to be the kick we needed and we outscored them by 8 points for the remainder of the half and went in at half time leading by 2-4 to 0-13. We took control in the second half and goals from Shane Gorey and Mark Mullaly and limiting Clonmel Óg to 4 points from frees meant we ran out winners on a scoreline of 2-22 to 2-8. The team on the night was: John Moroney, Liam Brett Captain,  Nicky Kearney, Conor Gorey, Paddy Moroney, Neil Gleeson, Cathal Mahony, Conor Barry, Brendan Gleeson, Shane Gorey, Tony O Brien, Conor Duggan, Mark Mullaly, Robbie Meagher, Aidan Buckley, Ciarán Mockler, Brian McCormack, Aaron Cronin, Jamie Broderick, Kieran Clancy, Michael Boland, Mark Slattery, Marcus O Halloran, Joey Noonan, James Fitzgerald.
