Juniors faced Rockmount

November 8, 2018

Juniors faced Rockmount last night in Rockmount park which was sure to be a tough battle. The blues got off too a great start and dominated possession. 30mins in a miss kick saw the ball go to a Rockmount player who played a ball over the top to leave a 1 on 1 with our keeper, seeing the blues go 1 down. At half-time a re-shuffle of formation saw a promising start from the blues with plenty of chances. A few fresh faces adding to the mix saw the introduction of Redvers Mcgrath and Rory Buckley up top, who combined within minutes on the pitch which saw a great through ball from Redvers to put Rory through, who tucked it away beautifully. Few minutes later Rockmount saw themselves down to 10 men, but the blues knew they would have to dig deep to get all the points against a very strong side. Unfortunately loads of chances fell our way but it just wasn't to be. Game finished 1-1. A superb performance by Greg O Callaghan who's on a great run of form, sees him pick up the man of the match. A good result against a very tough Rockmount side. Our focus now turns to the cup this weekend against carrigaline. Come on the Blues🔵🔵🔵
