Bride Rovers 4-3 Iniscarra 1-2

Great team performance
On Sunday last we played Iniscarra in our third game in the Decky Guckian league. With great encouragement from parents and friends we started the game very well with our midfielders working hard and the forwards on hand to convert as Griffin got us underway with a point.
The backs were clearing anything in their way sending great balls forward. Eoin then scored our next point, Conleth continued in fine scoring form with a goal and then our captain for the day Ciaran Nugent added 2 more goals. This was followed by Shaun getting a point and then Brian got our final score of the half. It was great to see all the boys encouraging each other.
In the second half we used all the Subs and everyone played well showed great skill and determination. To Iniscarra’s credit they never gave up putting 1-2 on the board. The match finished with all players getting a minimum of 20 minutes game time. A great performance, well done boys.
Next game Sunday away to Fr O’Neills at 11.

U12 Football
Our U12 began their football season last Saturday playing Lisgould in the league. We started the game well with Leon in fine form scoring a goal and a point. Dylan was solid in goals and our back line Shane, Tadhg and Mark were playing well. Lisgould got 2 points but great passing from our forwards Griffin, Jordan and Dathal put Jessie through for a point. The first half finished with Leon getting another point. Lisgould opened the scoring in the second half with a point. Our half back line John, DJ and Jack were working hard to send ball forward with great result as Adam scored the next point.
Our subs Conleth and Benin were introduced and showed great determination in the forward line. Dylan moved out of goal immediately coming forward to get a point. Adam once again went on the attack to get another point followed by Leon sending the ball to the net. Lisgould fought back and got a goal but we were not to be denied on the day with Jessie getting through for a goal the last score of the game.
