U10’s Impress again

Last Sat we travelled to Youghal GAA pitch in glorious sunshine where we played four eleven a side games. We had nineteen boys turn up, each boy got to play in all games which lasted fifteen minutes a game. This just shows the talent we have in this group of boys. First up was Youghal in a game we won by one point. The second game was against Carrigtwohill we won this game well, next up was Killeagh again the boys proved too strong for the opposition. Our last game was against a good Midleton team which we got the better of also. So four out of four for the lads. Thanks to Youghal for their hospitality.

Panel for the day: Conleth Ryan, Eoin Roche, Brian Roche, Ben Hogan, Conor Barry, Ciaran Nugent, John O’Sullivan, Beineon Whitmarsh, Shaun Knox, Craig O’Callaghan, Cian Hogan, Kieran Kearney, Jack Ryan, Dean Browne, Seamus Ahern, Ciaran Crowley, Matthew Quinn, Michael Quinlan, Patrick O’Flynn

U11 Hurling

Castlelyons 3-1 Bride Rovers 0-0

We continued our U11 hurling games playing Castlelyons last Thursday. The score line looks a bit misleading in that we should have got on the score board but were unlucky on the night.  Castlelyons were the stronger team on this occasion but our lads showed great team spirit as they continued throughout the game to put pressure on the Castlelyons backs. Ben in goal saved a number of shots all present thought were definitely in the net. The backs Conor, John, Ciaran, Patrick, Adam and Eoin were defending well against constant pressure from Castlelyons. Conleth and Griffin were working tirelessly as midfield sending ball to the forwards. But even though Jordan, Dathal, Beineon, Mark, Shane and Brian were making every effort to score it just wasn’t to be. Shaun, Dean and Peter were introduced and chased everything.

Panel: Ben Hogan, Ciaran Nugent, Conor Barry, John O’Sullivan, Patrick O’Sullivan, Adam O’Sullivan, Eoin Roche, Conleth Ryan, Griffin O’Sullivan, Jordan Mannix, Dathal Kent, Beineon Whitmarsh, Mark Connolly, Shane O’Flynn, Brian Roche, Shaun Knox, Dean Brown, Peter O’Leary
