Team 1 started the game very strong and were 2-0 up against the visitors in the first half with outstanding displays of hurling by Joe Hastings, Richard Shiel and Conor Cullinane who scored the opening goal. In the second half Naomh Olaf took command of the game and won 3-1 in the end with excellent displays by Fionn McGovern, Alex Murphy and Conor McCrey to keep O’Tooles at bay.
Team 2 started the game against the wind and with the sun in their eyes were unlucky to go 2-0 down in the first half. The second half was a lot different with a goal and 3 blocks being put in to give them overall victory 4-3. Outstanding players on the day included Sean O’Brien, Daniel Cleary, Shane Cleary and James Byrne.
