Good Victory for U14’s against Glanmire

Bride Rovers advance to the fourth round of the East Cork Football League with a well merited but hard earned victory over Glanmire played in Rathcormac on Friday 1st May, on a final score line of Bride Rovers 8-5 Glanmire 4-9.

Man of the Match Colm Power led by example scoring a massive seven goals and two points. We also had great performances from Luke O’Sullivan in goal ably assisted by backs Declan Sheehan and Sean Cotter. Our centre field players Cian O’Connor and Shane Walsh were in great form, while in the forward line Darren Moore and Padraig Noonan shone.

Best wishes to our captain Tadhg McAulliffe for a speedy recovery from a recent injury.

La na gClub.

Another major event in the GAA 125 Celebrations takes place on Sunday week May 10th when La na gClub will take place. As part of the celebrations we will be having a Club/Family Fun Day in the pitch on May 10th. From 2 until 5 a range of mini-games, skills contests, entertainment, exhibitions and displays will be staged. The great news is that all activities will be free and refreshments will be served. La na gClub is being held to showcase the role of the GAA in general and the Bride Rovers club in particular and everyone in the community is very welcome to come along.
