Bride Rovers Juvenile GAA Club

 

Football training for the U8’s is on every Monday night from 7pm to 8pm in Pynes field, with hurling training on Friday nights at 7pm to 8pm now also in Pynes.

New players welcome.

 

U16’s beaten by St Catherines in the League

We played St Catherine’s in Ballynoe on Monday night 6th April in the first round of the U16 hurling league. We are playing grade “B” this year and gave a good account of ourselves. We were beaten on the night. The Score was St. Catherine’s 1-15 to Bride Rovers 2-3. Our team was Frank Hogan, Sean Cotter, Paul Dee, Eoin Howard, Richard Foley, Barry Collins, Ryan O’Connor, Owen Murphy, David Quinn, Stephen O’Leary, Gerard Healy, Liam O’Leary, Darren Moore, Damien Buckley (Capt.) Cian O’Connor. The Subs were Adrian Buckley, Danial McHugh, Jack Kearney, Shane Howard, Jamie Buckley and Tadgh O’Sullivan.

 

U16’s beat the Hill in the League

We had our first win of the 2009 season on Monday 13th in the second round of the U16 hurling league. In a close encounter we came out on top by the narrowest of margins, our captain gave us a “man of the match “ performance scoring 8 points. The Score was Bride Rovers 0-15  Watergrasshill 2-8, Our team was Frank Hogan, , Richard Foley, Barry Collins, David Quinn,  Ryan O’Connor, Adrian Buckley, Shane Howard, Owen Murphy, Danial McHugh, Cian O’Connor. Gerard Healy, Damien Buckley (Capt.) Cian Sewell, Paul Dee, Stephen O’Leary, The Subs were Jack Kearney, Jamie Buckley and Tadgh O’Sullivan. Sean Cotter, Darren Moore, Our next training session is on Thursday in Pynes field at 7.00

 
Bag Pack

On Saturday 11th April the juvenile club held their annual “bag pack” in Centra in Fermoy. Again this was a very successful and well organised event. Thank you to all the juveniles and the adults who helped out on the day and a special word of thanks to the Management and Staff of Centra Fermoy for allowing us to run this.
