Kerry Senior County Championship

Kerins O Rahilly’s 2-13 South Kerry 2-13

Last Sunday in Killarney we played out a classic county championship semi-final against South Kerry, a game full of passion and commitment on both sides ended in a draw after extra time could not separate the sides, a game that had the 6000 spectators on the edge of their seats from throw in to the final whistle.

A huge team performance on the day by the whole panel and management team see us playing a replay next Saturday at 3.00 clock in Fitzgerald stadium. On the day the performance of Mike Quirke must be singled out, an exhibition of high fielding set the platform for many of our attacks on the day, so come along and get behind our team this Saturday, a bus was run last week from the club, check this week in the bar for details.

Full match report in Kerryman and local papers.

The coming week will be a very busy one for our seniors so check the notes next week for further details or call the bar for details, the county final is fixed for the 16th of November and with the right result next Saturday we will be involved.

So best of luck to Jack and the boys.

SYMPATHY

The Kerins O’Rahillys club would like to send their heartiest condolences to the family of the late Donal O Brien. The recent death of Donal has left Kerins O Rahillys without a good friend. Donal and Sandra have been great supporters of Kerins O Rahillys in recent years and were sponsors of the Senior team in 2002 when we last won the Kerry County Senior Chanpionship, always a great supporter of the players within the club.

Ar dheis dea go raibh a nanamacha.

Sympathy also to the family of the late Betty Keating, who died very suddenly after a short illness. Betty was a visitor to Kerins O’Rahillys most weekends with her husband Gerry, she will be sadly missed by all.
