Knockavilla National School
U-13 boys school team defeated Mullinahone on Monday 21st May to top our group before going down to Powerstown in the semi-final on Wednesday 16th, they played very well and the school is very proud of all involved. We wish Powerstown all the best in the county final.

The U11 team played their second blitz on Thursday 24th  and won all three games against Powerstown, Boherlahan and finally the decider against Clerihan NS, the boys had to win to secure a place in the final , which they did in the glorious sunshine of the day. They now qualify for the county final to be played on 7th / 8th June in Semple Stadium. All support welcome on the day to cheer on our school team.

Apart from sporting achievements, we have a group from Ms Luddys class heading to Dublin on 7th June to represent their class in the National final of Xperience Engineering 2012 with their project on Smart energy and our local wind farm in Glenough. Many thanks to ABO wind Ireland for opening the wind turbines for a tour and to Professor Liam Noonan of Tipperary int. for his talk on the topic in the school.
