Memberships night.

To give everyone from juvenile to senior and older an opportunity to pay their memberships for the coming year we are holding a memberships night in the Clubrooms on Friday the 3rd of February from 8pm. It is important in this day and age that all our players from juvenile to senior are fully paid up members of the club, thus having full insurance cover in the event of an accident etc during club activities. Membership fees are as follows: Juvenile: 10 euro, Adult player: 50 euro, Adult non player: 25 euro.
If you cannot get to the night contact Michael Shanahan or Margaret Hayes who are our joint membership officers to arrange payment. A list of current members will be displayed on the clubroom wall after the membership night.

Scoil Mhuire, Knockavilla, Dundrum Notes

Lara O’ Dwyer a pupil in Senior Infants in Knockavilla N.S. has been chosen as a finalist in the ‘Doodle4Google’ art competition. Lara, together with five other pupils in Mr. Moran’s class, was entered into this national competition. Four of the children made it to the semi-final stage, but Lara was chosen as one of the 15 finalists from across the nation in the Junior and Senior Infant category. There are five different categories – from Junior Infants to Leaving Cert – in the competition. One  winner will be chosen from each category based on a public vote. Lara is the only finalist from Co. Tipperary so we are hoping that everyone in the county as well as in her local community will vote for her lovely piece of artwork. Lara’s doodle can be seen and voted for on the Google website.www.google.ie/doodle4google/2012/vote.html
She will attend the prize-giving event at the Google headquarters in March and we hope that with community support this little girl can win in her category. If she is chosen as the overall winner the school will win a €10,000 technology grant. Please vote for Lara – early and often! You can vote up to and including February 6th.

Well done also to her Class Teacher, Mr. Moran. Without his support and enthusiasm his pupils would not have done so well.
