Camogie Club notes.
 
Presentation to Ereena.
 
On Monday the 19th of September  at the Kickham lotto in The Venue Dundrum House Hotel the Camogie club will make a presentation to Ereena Fryday to acknowledge her achievement of being an integral part of the Co. Tipperary U/18 Camogie  team that were crowned All Ireland Champions in July.
The presentation will take place at 10pm and all are welcome.

Juvenile GAA.

U- 14   Our u-14`s played Cashel in Leahy Park last Saturday evening in the Shield Semi-Final.  Cashel won the toss and played with a very strong wind in the first half .  We battled hard against the wind goin in at  half time only one point down,  1-05 to 1-04 .
Our boys came out after the break all guns blazing scoring seven more points in this half. Cashel scored a goal to leave it  1-11 to 2-05 for Kickhams.
They now play Lattin/Cullen in the Final yet to be fixed.  Scores:- Ger Browne 1-02  Phelim Carberry 0-01 Padraig O`Carroll 0-08.
 
U-16   Our u-16 have reached the West-Final against Emly/Treacys no fixtures made at this time.
 
U-8  The u-8 travel to Dr. Morris Park  Saturday 24th  for Co. Blitz.

Sympathies.
 
We offer our deepest sympathies to Patricia Hogan and Family of New Line on the death of her husband Donal on the 9th of September after a long illness bravely borne. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam. We also extend our condolences to Stasia and Peter Hourigan and family Clonkelly on the recent death of Stasia’s brother Tommy Taylor Farrnamanagh Cashel and late of Bishopswood. May he rest in peace.

Youth club meeting.
 
It’s that time of year again! Knockavilla Donaskeigh Youth Club is reopening after the summer break! There will be a meeting this Thursday evening (15th of Sept) at 7pm in Knockavilla community hall for anyone interested in becoming a volunteer or leader. Hospice Coffee Morning.

Dundrum & District friends of the Hospice will hold a coffee morning in Dundrum House Hotel and Butlers Centra Dundrum on Thursday the 15th of September from 11.00am to 1.00pm.There will be a cake sale in the Hotel and we are asking all who can bake to please do so and come along on the day.
There are very few of us who have not been affected by cancer either personally or with loved ones and the Hospice nurses are a source of great comfort and assistance at those times, so please  give your usual generous support to a very vital service  and deserving cause. 

 

Badminton returns.

Badminton resumes for the winter months in the Scout Centre Dundrum on Monday next the 5th of September from 8pm and will continue every Monday and Thursday night until May. It’s a great way to have fun and keep fit at the same time. So come along on Monday and Thursday nights. All are welcome.


Table Quiz.
 
A table Quiz in aid of Cystic Fibrosis will be held in Leahy’s Bar Tipperary Town on Thursday the 22nd of September at 9.00pm. Table of Four 40 euro. All support for this worthy cause greatly appreciated. For info contact Catriona on 087-9584843.
