Senior Hurling.
Our senior play Cappawhite in the 3rd round of the West senior hurling championship on next Saturday evening in Leahy Park Cashel, throw in @ 6pm.
We wish the lads the very best in their efforts and we ask all our supporters to come along and give them plenty of support.
The Senior’s also had a win over Boherlahan in the county league last Sunday 3.10 to 0.15

Junior (A) Hurling.

Kickhams junior (A) hurlers continued their recent impressive form with a good victory over Clonoulty Rossmore in Sean Treacy Park on Saturday evening last. Despite the threat of rain the Sun actually graced us with an appearance and hurling conditions were ideal. Kickhams fielded a strong looking line up with a wealth of experience in most positions and this proved vital in the final outcome as any time that the Clonoulty lads threatened to get into the game, scores were taken at the other end to  keep the lead ticking over. The halftime score was Kickhams 1-8 Clonoulty Rossmore 1-2. Two goals mid way through the second half killed this game as a contest and Kickhams were deserving winners on the score 3-11 to 2-4. Kickhams team and scorers. Fergal O’Brien, John O’Brien, David Shanahan, Rory Heffernan, Eoin O’Brien, Rory O’Dwyer, Padraig Morrissey, Niall O’Brien, James Shanahan, Alan Horgan(0-2), Aidan Heney (0-1), Michael O’Brien (0-3), Kenneth Horgan(0-1), Fergal Horgan (1-4), Conor Horan(2-0), Subs used Kevin Farrell for David Shanahan(injured), Damian Hayes for Kenneth Horgan(injured).

Trespass in field.
We would ask that  those who  are trespassing in the field  and car park when the gates are locked to please stop this practise, climbing high walls / fences etc is not a safe activity and last Sunday a young child who somehow climbed or was lifted in, was locked inside the field and could not get out.
Parents are asked to keep an eye on what their children are up to as Kickhams GAA Club cannot take any responsibility for any possible injuries received from climbing an 8 foot boundary wall into private property. Not many responsible people would want someone clambering over their backwall, especially if they had not got permission. There has also been some vandalism within the property in recent times and the appropriate authorities have been notified.
Please note that when the field is open all are welcome.

Co. Board Draw.

Think back to last year, especially September and those great victories and joyous celebrations in Croke Park and Semple Stadium. Well it takes a lot of effort both physically and financially to provide the proper structures throughout the Premier County at all levels from schools to clubs  right through to County teams, to reach those heights witnessed in September last. And now you have the opportunity to keep Tipp at the top , all you have to do to play your part is join the Tipperary GAA Clubs Draw which has ½ million euro prize fund, It’s a 12 monthly draw which costs 100 euro or 10 euro per month (2 months free). There are fantastic prizes including Cars, cash prizes,TVs, holidays etc each month and better still your club receives 50% ie 50 euro back  so you are helping at all levels. The draw fund returns in excess of 1 million to clubs and contributes large sums to coaching and games development throughout the County and your help is needed more than ever to ensure that  this funding continues. Club promoters will be visiting homes in the Parish over the coming weeks before the first draw which will be held on Friday the 20th of May and you can make up your mind at that time. Thank you for your continued support of our club.

Memberships.

We are again asking all players, mentors and supporters to please pay up their membership fees for this year. The day to day running of any club in these times is an onerous one and surely the very least that should be done by indiduals is to pay their membership to help maintain the status quo. Those players that have been injured over the years can testify how important it is to be insured, especially when surgical intervention is necessary. Please contact Margaret Hayes, Michael Shanahan, Richard Moloney or any Club Officer ASAP. Thank you.
