Sympathy.
The death occurred on Thursday last September30th of Jack O’Dwyer,Carrigeen, Clonoulty and formerly of Clonkelly.Jack had lived in Clonoulty Rossmore Parish for many years but it is true to say that he remained a very proud Kickham man. In his youth he wore the amber and black of Kickhams with pride and was part of the Golden era of the club in the 1940s and 50s. He was on senior teams that claimed the divisional crown in  ‘49, ‘50, ‘52, ‘54, ‘55, and ’56. Jack also served as Club Secretary in the early 1950s and was very happy in recent years when he was elected as a President of his club. We offer our sincerest sympathies to his loving wife Mona, his sons, Neil, John and Alan, his daughters, Anne, Marie, and Claire, his brother Neil and sister Marie (Shorman),Brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law,extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends on their loss. As a mark of respect to Jack and the O’Dwyer family the Kickham club provided a guard of honour on the evening of his removal to Clonoulty Church. The large turnout of all age groups in the guard of honour proved testament to the esteem that Jack was held in by all Kickham folk. He will be sadly missed by us all. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dilis.
