Sympathies.

The officers and membership of Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams GAA club extends its deepest sympathies to Mrs Theresa Ryan and family Ballintemple on the death of her husband Johnny on the 4th of September. We also extend our condolences to the Holmes family Mough on the death of their mother Elizabeth on Wednesday the 5th of September. May they rest in peace.
 
 
 
Junior (A) Hurling Semi final.
 
Our Junior (A) hurlers were defeated by Clonoulty Rossmore in the West final in Cashel on Saturday evening last. Though disappointed with the result they must now refocus on the upcoming Co.
Quarterfinal which will be played in the coming week. Check sports pages in Nationalist for match report.
 
 
 
 
 
Junior (B) Hurling.
 
Our Junior (B) hurlers had a good win neighbours Clonoulty Rossmore on Friday night last in Golden. They have now progressed to the West semi final. Check sports pages in Nationalist for match report. 

 
Co. Board Draw.

The September draw took place in the Venue Dundrum House Hotel on Friday last the 7th of September. Prizes from the August Draw were presented to the lucky winners on the night. Howard & Kay Beardmore,
Pat & Noreen McCormack & Pat & Liz Higgins, congrats to all. There are still 8 monthly draws left, so if you are interested in joining contact Draw coordinator Paddy Hayes Garrane or any club officer for details.

JUVENILE GAA
 
We had a very busy Saturday with our juvenile teams.  First up were the U10`s who travelled to Dr. Morris Park Thurles for Co.U10 Blitz and both teams were strong in their groups.  Next up were our U16 Hurlers in the West U16B Final against Rockwell Rovers in Sean Treacy Park. they fought hard throughout the game to come out convincing winners on a score 2-19  to 1-09 .  Congratulations to the  team and managment on their great achievement they now go on to represent the west against mid winners in the semi-finals yet to be fixed as mid-final isn`t played yet.  
After match in Tipp Town it was back to Kickham Park Dundrun for the U13 Garda Cup. Kickhams and Cashel both qualified for the semi-finals .
 
 
 
CAMOGIE
 
Our U8`s travelled to Camogie Grounds Ragg on Saturday last for U8 Co. Blitz . They proformed brilliantly in their group and really enjoyed their day out WELL DONE GIRLS!  Training for all ages continues Fridays 6-7pm sharp.

KNOCKAVILLA COMMUNITY COUNCIL NOTES.

Family Fun Walk.
Thanks to all who took part in the Family fun walk on Thursday last and for the generous donations. Thanks also to Danny Morrissey for his enlightening words on the local points of Interest.

 

HOSPICE COFFEE MORNING.

Dundrum & District Friends of the Hospice will hold their annual coffee morning on Thursday the 20th of September in Dundrum House Hotel, including raffle from 10.30 am to 12.30pm. There will also be a coffee morning on the same morning in Butlers Centra Supermarket Dundrum. There will also be a meeting in the health centre Dundrum on Monday the 17th of September @ 8pm for anyone who might like to volunteer for either event.
