WHITE COLLAR BOXING.
Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams and Clonoulty Rossmore will meet in a novel fund raising event in Dundrum House Hotel on Saturday the 16th of February
when 15 of our finest pugilists meet our counterparts from Clonoulty Rossmore in a White collar boxing tournament that is being billed as “ The Bust
up in the Ballroom” There will be more info in the coming weeks, but suffice to say that training is really taking off now and both camps are confident

MEMBERSHIP’S NIGHT.
As with previous years all players, selector’s, officers etc have to be fully paid up members of the club before getting involved in this coming season’s
activities. Please Note: For insurance purposes non members will not be allowed to play or be involved in the selection of teams. To this end a membership’s
night will be held in the GAA Clubrooms Dundrum on Friday night the 8th of February from 8-9pm. Membership fees remain the same as last year and are as follows
– Adult player 50 euro, U/18 and juvenile 10 euro, Adult non player 25 euro. Texts will issue and reminders of this membership’s night will be posted on the
Kickham Facebook page as well as the Dundrum News.

OUR LADY’S SODALITY.
The monthly meeting of Our Lady’s Sodality will be held on Monday next the 28th of January. Mass in Knockavilla Church @ 7.30pm all are welcome

KNOCKAVILLA COMMUNITY COUNCIL NOTES.

SCHOOLS QUIZ

The annual primary schools table quiz ill take place on Friday February 22nd at 7.45pm in Knockavilla hall. The categories in the quiz cater for third and fourth
class who play for the community council shield, while the winners of the fifth and sixth class category will claim the Michael Breen perpetual trophy. The entry
fee is E12 for at table of 4. All schools are welcome to send as many teams a they wish. This table quiz has proven to be a great success down the years.

HALL UPKEEP.

The Community Council plan to finish the interior painting of Knockavilla hall on this Saturday January 26th from 2pm to 5pm. We would appreciate any volunteer
help during this time to finish off this project.

COMMUNITY TEXT ALERT.

The committee wish to announce that the public launch of the text alert scheme will take place on Thursday January 31st at 8pm in Knockavilla. Representatives
from the Gardai and Muinter Na tire will be in attendance, and teas and refreshments will be served. This is an opportunity for the parish to come out for a social
gathering and to find out more information on the text alert scheme, so all are welcome.

The response to this scheme has been massive. The committee are currently identifying the areas for the road signs in association with the County Council.

If any householder has not yet signed up to the scheme, and wishes to do so, please turn up on the night. This scheme will also be used to notify members of any issues, such as flooded or icy roads or storm damage areas. The next meeting is tomorrow Thursday 24th at 8pm in Knockavilla hall.

MOLL,
John B. Keane’s funniest comedy, Moll, will be presented in Donohill on Saturday and Sunday next January 26th & 27th @ 8pm; and in The Marian Hall, Tipperary, Sat. February 2nd @ 8pm. Cast. Mary O’Dwyer (Donohill) plays Moll Kettle & Dan Kelly (Donohill) plays Canon Pratt. The Bishop is played by James Bishop of Donaskeigh; Majella Doody (Hollyford) is Bridgie, and Philly Ryan (Whip) of Donohill will play Ulick. Directed & produced by Paul Maher, Annacarty. 062 71555. Tickets €10; Concessions €8; Students/children €5. Family ticket €22. Tickets at the door. The play lasts about 75 minutes; there will be no interval, but
there will be a raffle at the end. Traditional music to follow on the Saturday night, 26th in Mary Heffernan’s, Donohill.
