PAMPER NIGHT A ROARING SUCCESS
On Friday night last in the Rathcormac Community Hall an enthusiastic bunch of ladies were treated to a feast of entertainment and tips.  First up was Classy Kidz with there array of children’s clothes for all occasions and weather conditions.  The local models were a delight to watch.  Three of Rathcormac and Bartlemy’s finest ladies were swept away for a make over to include hair, make up and clothes and my how stunning each of them looked on their return.
Full credit must go to Flamingo Redz, Laura O Keeffe,  and All Seasons for their part in these make-overs.  Both Vanilla and All Seasons had a vast collection of clothes which were modelled to the highest standard.  It is great to see that such outstanding garments are on sale locally in Fermoy. Take 5 studio, Rathcormac gave a talk and lively deomonstration of  exercises that are great for one and all and easily done in the home.
Nuala Geaney gave a tremenduous display of flower arranging with particular emphasis on festive arrangements.   Mike Walsh of Walsh pharmacy gave an interesting talk on different types of medications used and the common side effects of each.  Walsh Pharmacy also provided all the make up that was used in the demonstrations throughout the evening.  Brown Thomas beautician Laura O Keeffe gave tips on makeup as she applied it to her willing model live on stage.  The Power family Rathcormac entertained the crowd before the interval with some lovely solo singing, instrument playing and group singing.
Each person that attended was served fine wine and food during the evening, received a goodie bag courtesy of  Walsh’s pharmacy and also got the enlightening experience of each of the wonderful speakers on the night.  The MC of the night was club chairperson Ann Forde who did extremely well and if some day there will be a female MC at the Rose of Tralee, Ann would be well in with a chance!  A special word of thanks to the following people for their help with different aspects of the evening.  Richie Mulcahy and Arnold Communications for the speakers and microphones, Rathcormac Community Council for use of the hall, Liam Barry of Fermoy Print and Design for printing the tickets and posters, Breda Foley, Breda Campbell, Ann Forde and Catherine Kearney for their culinary expertise and input to the food and beverages on the night, and to all the sponsors of various prizes on the night.
As always an event of this magnitude could not be carried out without the hard working committee that put in hours of preparation before the event and on the night.  A sincere thanks and well done to Valerie Culloty, Emma O Keeffe, Betty Cahill, Ann Forde and all the other people that gave of their time before, during and after the event to make it the success that it was.

FLAG DAY
Well done and thank you to the brave souls that took to the streets of Fermoy and Rathcormac on Saturday last in horrendous weather conditions to literally fly the flag for Bride Rovers!  While a healthy amount was raised by you we are disappointed yet again with the turn out of volunteers.  A club that boasts at least 80 families with girls playing football or camogie with the club yet just over half were represented.
We appeal to all those out there that are availing of the training and matches that this club offers year in year out that you would give something back irrespective of how little.  Each and every helping hand is very much appreciated but more so it is needed to ensure that the club will run smoothly into the future.  The Club AGM will be coming up in the next few months so why not make that your perfect opportunity to start helping out by giving your name as a helper with some aspect of the club.
