Our under 12 team had their first championship match this year in Cloneen last Sunday Evening on a lovely sunny evening. For some of our girls this was their first championship match ever. They played against Clerihan, which in fairness were a much stronger and physical side. It did take our girls the first half to get their bearings on the field but after a chat by their ever positive trainer Trish, they entered the second half with a positive attitude and did get stuck in. Most of our training up to this game had been done in the hall, with only two sessions in the field. Hopefully now when the weather improves we can get our team out on the field to train and get the best out of them as they are a great bunch of girls. The coming week also brings us another championship match so we will get stuck in again and do our very best.
Variety Show
Well done and congratulations to all girls that were involved in our recent variety show which was a great success for the three GAA clubs but also displayed an array of fantastic talent in our midst.
G40 Ladies
The g40 ladies have now commenced training. This takes place in Cloneen on Monday evenings from 8.30 – 9.30. We have a number of events coming up throughout the year so if you wish to join in, come along as soon as you can to our training sessions. No experience necessary, all you need is a pair of boots.
