Ladies Football.

 Under 8’s

Our under 8 girls enjoyed a challenge game against Clonmel Commericals on Wednesday past. Well done to all the girls who took part.

Under 10’s

Our under 10 girls have had two really enjoyable games for the past two Wednesday evenings, firstly against Fethard on Wednesday the 15th of May and then against Clonmel Commericals on Wednesday past. Training will resume again on Wednesday evening in Drangan Field at 7pm.

Under 12’s

Under 12 girls are training hard for the current challenge game. In our first round game we played Slievenamon away on Tuesday the 07th of May, where we were beaten by a much stronger team on the night. The next two round games against Clerihan and Clonmel Og are due to be played in the coming week. Good luck to all the girls and their coaches.

Under 14’s

Our under 14 girls team have had a busy few weeks fulfilling fixtures for the under 14 championship. They have had mixed fortunes with an early win over Clonmel Commericals and defeats by Arravale Rovers and Thurles Sarsfields. Saturday past saw us play Clonmel Commericals in the under 14C final, however a win was not to be with the Clonmel side winning by 8 points.

Gaelic for Others

Our Gaelic for Others team continues to grow in strength and numbers, with training every Monday and Thursday evenings. We hosted a home challenge match on Thursday the 16th of May against Boherhalan, which was an enjoyable run out for all the ladies. Our thanks to the Boherhalan ladies for making the trip to Anner Park, Cloneen,

Junior Ladies

Pride of place this week goes to our junior ladies in winning the Junior D league final on Saturday evening past in New Inn. The road to the final was one of a few twists and turns, with defeats against Boherhalan B and Latten Cullen and one win against the ladies from Thurles Gaels. The semi final was a clash against the Boherhalan B team which proved to be a tough encounter, however the St. Patrick’s ladies weathered the storm which set up the junior D final with Latten Cullen. St. Patrick’s dominated the game from the start and throughout and went on to win convincingly. Team line out: Imelda O’Donovan, Rebecca Hayden, Roisin Horan (capt), Maeve Brown, Lynda Nevin, Shelley O’Dwyer, Eidin Murphy, Sarah Mockler, Aileen Kelly, Úna O’Brien, Siobhan Vaughan, Aine O’Donovan, Orla Meagher and Deirdre O’Donovan. Subs all used: Aileen Sugrue, Helen Hogan, Niamh Morrissey, Niamh Fitzgerald and Caoimhe Lyons. Well done to all everyone involved and for those to came to support us on the night.
