CHILDCARE SERVICE SUMMER SEASON
Mayo Abbey Community Childcare Service has a limited number of places for
babies available at present in the Abbey Tots Crèche, Mayo Abbey. They are
also taking names for the Afterschool summer camp in July and the upcoming
computer course for National School pupils ‘third to sixth classes’. This
course will take place during the summer. For details contact Supervisor 094

OLD MOBILES
Western Care Association and Mayo Cancer Support Association  have teamed up
with C & C Cellular Ltd. to recycle old mobile phones in order to raise
funds.   All monies raised from the venture will give a 100% payback to the
charities involved. No commission or expenses will claimed by the promoters.
A recycling bin has been placed in the Bishop O’Healy Resource Centre;
please drop in your old, broken or unused phones, help the environment and
support two worthy Mayo-based charities.
BIKER RUN FOR HOSPICE
A Motor cycle run from Strokestown to Westport will take place on Saturday
7th  & Sunday 8th July. Over 100 bikers will take to the roads on Saturday
morning taking in various towns on route including Charlestown,(11.00am)
Swinford,(11.20am) Foxford,(11.55am)  Ballina,(12.40pm) Castlebar (3.10)  &
Westport (6pm).  Their return journey on Sunday will take them through
Ballinrobe, (10.45),  Claremorris, (12.35) & Ballyhaunis (1.30pm). Bucket
collections on route  Please come out and support the bikers in their
efforts. All funds raised will go towards supporting Palliative Care/Hospice
Services in your community and is free of charge to all who need it.
RECENT DEATHS
The death has taken place after a short illness of Ger Henry, Facefield.
Sympathy is extended to his wife Ailish , children, Ross, Briona, Lorcan,
Roisin, Orla, Cormac, Ruari. His parents Tom and Noreen, brothers and
sisters and their families, mother-in-law Mae O’Brien and their extended
family.
Sympathy is extended to Mary O’Brien, Brownhall on the death of her brother,
Joseph Nolan, Kildare.
