The long wait to win an Under 21 title continues after Saturday’s disappointing loss to the Rhode/Croghan representatives. A very nervous first half performance from the Ballycumber /Tubber team contributed to a 0–7 to 0–2 half time deficit and despite a much improved second half display the margin was too wide.Goals from Keith Lawler and Aaron Daly and points from Bernard Allen brought the margin down to one point but a goal at the other end undid all the good work and the craft of the opposition ensured that the trophy ended up in Rhode.
