Senior Hurling: Eire Og Anacarty 0-9 Lorrha 3-13
Lorrha enjoyed a comfortable success in their first senior league game in Anacarty on Sunday. First half goals from James Dunne and Kevin Liffey helped Lorrha to a 2-5 to 0-6 half time lead. A second half Patrick Maher goal helped Lorrha surge to a very easy win.

Lorrha’s second game is against Golden-Kilfeacle and is provisionally fixed for Easter Sunday, 23 March in Moatfield at 2pm.

Minor & Under 16: Training continues on Friday evening at 6.45pm.

Under 14: Training continues in Moatfield on Saturday at 11am.

Under 12: Lorrha went down to Borrisokane in the first round of the Under 12 ‘C’ Football Championship played in Puckane under floodlights on Thursday night last. Final score was 1-2 to 0-2. Training continues in Moatfield on Saturday at 11am.

Under 10: Training continues in Moatfield on Saturday at 11am.

Newsletter: The first issue of our quarterly newsletter is now available. The newsletter will contain news on all aspects of the club from juvenile to adult level, news on our social club and also a financial update.

Membership: Membership for 2008 is now available. €30 – Adult Players; €20 – Non Playing Adults; €15 – Minor/College Students and Juveniles (with match ticket entry); €10 – Juveniles (without match ticket entry). All membership is payable to club registrar Jack Maher or any committee member.

Tipp Draw: All outstanding money from the 2007/2008 draw should be paid as soon as possible.

Club Final: With the club neighbouring both Birr and Portumna, we must remain neutral this week and wish both sides the best of luck in Mondays All Ireland Final. At least, there will be one place of celebration to attend on Monday night; that is if it doesn’t end in a draw.

Lotto: The numbers drawn on 3 March were: 2 – 14 – 15 – 18. No Winner.
The Lucky Dips were: The Lucky Dips were: Tracey Hogan (Lorrha), Ted Kennedy (The Lake), Noel Hogan, Joe Regan (Carrig) and Ann Marie King (Aglish). The Winning Promoters were: The Ferry Inn, Geraldine O’Meara and Mark Carroll.

Old Time Dancing: Our Old Time Dancing continues in the GAA Clubhouse on Friday night to the music of Paddy Blanche. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.
