Senior Hurling: Lorrha’s first competitive game back in the senior ranks will take place on Sunday next when we travel to Annacarty to take on the home side. Throw-In is at 2pm.

The draw for the North Senior Hurling Championship was made on Friday last and Lorrha have been given a tough, but exciting group. Lorrha will face Roscrea in Round 1 on the May Bank Holiday Weekend. We have a bye in round two before games with Borris-Ileigh, Toomevara and Nenagh Eire Og. The top team at the end of the group stage will go to the semi-finals while the second and third placed teams go to the quarter finals

Junior: The draw for the Junior ‘A’ Hurling League was made last week and Lorrha will face Kilruane (home), bye, Toomevara (away), Kildangan (home) and Nenagh Eire Og (away) in group 2.
First games in last March or early April.

Under 21 Hurling: Lorrha were drawn in Group One of the Under 21 ‘A’ Hurling Championship and will take on Nenagh Eire Og, Borris-Ileigh and Kilruane MacDonaghs. The first game with Borris-Ileigh will take place in late March with the top two in the group progressing to the semi-finals.

Minor Football: Lorrha were drawn in Group 2 of the Minor ‘A’ football championship. Lorrha will travel to Newport to take on the home side before facing Nenagh Eire Og. The top two teams will reach the semi-finals. First game on 2-3 April. Minor training continues on Friday evening at 6.45pm.

Under 16: Lorrha will play Nenagh Eire Og and Borrisokane in the Under 16 ‘A’ Football Championship. Under 16 training continues on Friday evening in Moatfield at 6.45pm sharp.

Under 14: Lorrha have been drawn with Kilruane and Portroe in the Under 14 ‘A’ Football Championship. Training continues in Moatfield on Saturday at 11am.

Under 12: Under 12 ‘C’ Football Championship: Lorrha v Borrisokane in Puckane on Thursday, 6 March at 6.30pm (Under Lights). Training continues in Moatfield on Saturday at 11am.

Under 10: Training continues in Moatfield on Saturday at 11am.

Under 8’s: The Under 8’s will head to Cloughjordan on Saturday morning for a hurling blitz.

Newsletter: The first issue of our quarterly newsletter will be available this week. The newsletter will contain news on all aspects of the club from juvenile to adult level, news on our social club and also a financial update.

Membership: Membership for 2008 is now available. €30 – Adult Players; €20 – Non Playing Adults; €15 – Minor/College Students and Juveniles (with match ticket entry); €10 – Juveniles (without match ticket entry). All players must have their membership paid before the start of the league.
All membership is payable to club registrar Jack Maher or any committee member.

Tipp Draw: Next months draw will be the final draw of the current draw and all outstanding money should be paid as soon as possible.

Gaeltacht Scholarships: GAA Gaeltacht Scholarship forms are now available from Shane Brophy for secondary school students. Closing date for applications to the County Board is this Friday, 7 March.

Lotto: The numbers drawn on 25 February were: 10 – 14 – 21 – 23. No Winner.
The Lucky Dips were: Ken Cleary, Nuala Maher, L&M, Daniel & Fergus and Phyllis Kennedy. The Winning Promoters were: Kellys, Joe Cleary and Madeleine Maher.

Old Time Dancing: Our Old Time Dancing continues in the GAA Clubhouse on Friday night to the music of Kieran Fogarty. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.
