Lotto:Our jackpot has reached arecord high of €20,000. The jackpot cannot go any higher so it will remain at€20,000 until it is won. If it rolls over, the new jackpot will be rising by€150 per week.

Thanks to everyone whois supporting our lotto, which is the clubs main source of fundraising. Withthe jackpot currently high, the number of players is growing by the week,particularly online on www.locallotto.iewhere it is easy to play every week. Tickets are €2 each or three for €5.  

 

Senior: Theseniors O’Riain Cup quarter final against Nenagh Éire Óg due to take place on this Sunday, 22August has been postponed. The game will now provisionally take place on Sunday, 12 September.

 

U21: The U21‘A’ semi-final against Kilruane MacDonagh’s has been deferred to a later date.

 

Minor Hurling: The minors lost their first game of the championship to Portroe inPortroe last Thursday on a 3-11 to 1-14 scoreline. Our final group game takesplace this Thursday at home to Templederry @ 7.15pm where we need a win tosecure a semi-final place.

 

Minor Football: The semi-final replay v Portroe will take place on this Sunday, 22 August in Ballinderry @ 6.30pm.

 

U16: TheUnder 16s were beaten 2-12 to 1-12 by Nenagh Éire Óg in a terrific game inMoatfield on Monday last. Our final group game against Roscrea took place onMonday evening last were we suffered a heavy defeat. However, we have still qualified for the semi-finals where we will take on Nenagh Éire Óg. Check club website for details of fixture date.

 

U12: TheUnder 12’s enjoyed a day-out last Friday when the visited Croke Park and alsoplayed a challenge game against Faughs. This will be in preparation for thePlate competition which also includes Borris-Ileigh, Borrisokane, ShannonRovers, Silvermines and Portroe.

 

U8: TheUnder 8’s completed their years activities with a hurling and football blitzagainst Kilcormac last Saturday in Moatfield.

 

Inter-county: Well done to Patrick Maher and the Tipperary team in this Sunday’sAll Ireland Hurling semi-final against Waterford at Croke Park.

Best of luck to Patrick, Ciaran Haugh, KenHogan and the Tipperary Under 21 team in their All Ireland semi-final againstAntrim in Tullamore this Saturday.

 

All Ireland Tickets: Tickets for the All Ireland Hurling Final on 5 September will beissued to fully paid up club members only. A draw will take place on Wednesday,1 September in the Clubhouse at 9pm sharp. 

 

Parish GolfOuting: This years Lorrha Parish Golf Outing takesplace in Portumna Golf Club on Saturday, 28 August. This years President isMichael Liffey while Captain is Eugene Kennedy. Time-sheet is from 9am to1pm. 

 

Old Time Dancing: Old Time Dancing continues on Friday night to the music ofCatherine & Images. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.
