Intermediate Hurling: Lorrha 2-13 Clonlara 3-18
Lorrha’s campaign as an Intermediate club came to a disappointing end on Sunday afternoon when Clonlara came from behind to win a place in the Munster Final. Things looked good for so long but the force of the Clonlara fightback in the second half was too much to hold back. See Match Report.

The Club would like to thank all the players, mentors, officials and anyone who helped out in any way with the team during the year. Also a special thanks to our supporters and look forward to seeing you all again at senior championship matches next year.

Under 21: The Under 21’s are still in championship action and this Sunday, they take on Templederry in the replay of the Under 21 ‘B’ Hurling Final. This game has been switched from Nenagh to Cloughjordan with a 2pm throw-in. Best of luck to the players and mentors.

Sponsorship: With the Under 21 Hurling team still in the championship, anyone wishing to sponsor the team for the remaining games can do so by contacting any committee member. All sponsorships will be acknowledged.

Club Jackets: Anyone who owes money for club jackets must pay up by the end of the week.

DVD’s: Copies of both the North and County Intermediate Hurling Finals are available from Shane Brophy at €20 each.

AGM: The Annual General Meeting of Lorrha GAA Club takes place in the GAA Clubhouse on Saturday, 1 December at 8.30pm.

Auction: The annual auction will take place on Sunday, 9 December. We would ask as many people as possible to help out in any way. Anyone who wishes to donate some timber for the auction can contact any committee member.

Dinner Dance: The Lorrha GAA Dinner Dance will take place in the County Arms Hotel, Birr on Saturday, 5 January 2008. More details closer to the event. Medals will be presented to victorious teams on the night.

Lotto: The numbers drawn on 5 November for a €10,150 jackpot were: 3 – 7 – 10 – 13. No Winner.
The Lucky Dips were: Ann Egan, John Cleary, Gerard Hough, David Cleary and Stephen Hogan. The Winning Promoters were: Martin Hough, Pat Hough and The Ferry Inn.
The new lottery ticket of the Lorrha GAA lotto is now on sale but any of the old style tickets can still be used. The new ticket will contain three boxes with numbers ranging from 1 to 30. Each player can play one box for €2, two boxes for €4 or three boxes for €5.

Old Time Dancing: Our Old Time Dancing continues in the GAA Clubhouse on Friday night to the music of Denis Doyle. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.
