Intermediate: With Tipperary’s championship at and end, the club championship will get into full swing shortly with Lorrha set to take on Shannon Rovers on the weekend of 11-12 August.

Junior: Lorrha 1-10 Borris-Ileigh 2-14
A poor start, which yielded two goals to Borris-Ileigh, was costly as Lorrha lost their second game in the championship.
Lorrha trailed by 2-8 to 0-4 midway through the first half but a John Lambe goal gave Lorrha hope and trailed 2-10 to 1-6 at half time. The second half was a tight affair with Lorrha giving as good as they were getting but the poor start separated the sides throughout the game and Borris held on for victory.
Team: Ken Hogan, Patrick Hough, Tom Madden, Dermot Power; Graham Houlihan, Enda Moran, Donal Kennedy; Ronan King, Brendan Fogarty; James O’Meara, Liam Carroll, Michael O’Meara; Eoin Gormally, David Haughton, John Lambe. Subs: Sean Cleary, Diarmaid Mannion, David Sullivan.

Minor: Lorrha 3-15 Kilruane MacDonaghs 3-16
An injury time goal 21 yard free from Tipp minor star Seamus Hennessy was the difference as Kilruane came from behind in a cracking game in Moatfield on Friday evening.
An early goal from Cian Hogan settled Lorrha down and with Patrick Maher in top form, Kilruane lead 1-9 to 1-7 at half time. A goal early in the second half from Sean Cleary put Lorrha in a strong position and with Cleary, Ciaran Haugh, Brendan O’Brien and Patrick Maher adding points, Lorrha lead by two points going into added time.
Then the drama began as Kilruane went in front with a goal but Lorrha went straight back up field and Sean Cleary managed to shoot to the net. But there was still time and Kilruane went on the attack and won a 21 yard free which Seamus Hennessy blasted to the net to win the game for the visitors.
Team: Willie Maher; Conor Haugh, Diarmaid Mannion, Sean O’Meara; Andrew Hoctor, Graham Houlihan, Ciaran Duggan; Ciaran Haugh (0-4, 1 free, 1 65), Brendan Fogarty; Cian Hogan (1-0), Patrick Maher (0-7, 3 frees), Eoin O’Meara; David Fogarty, Brendan O’Brien (0-1), Sean Cleary (2-3). Sub: Ronan Moore.
Despite the defeat, Lorrha are through to the semi-finals and still have one game to play against Borris-Ileigh, which will decide our semi-final opponents.

Under 16: Lorrha suffered a narrow one point defeat to Kilruane in Moatfield on Monday evening last. Lorrha looked in a strong position when they struck for a third goal early in the second half but Kilruane finished strongly to emerge winners by 2-15 to 4-8.
