Membership: The closing date for 2008 Membership is now approaching and only fully paid-up members can put their names into the draw for Championship tickets. €20 – Non Playing Adults; €15 – Minor/College Students and Juveniles (with match ticket entry); €10 – Juveniles (without match ticket entry). All membership is payable to any committee member. Thanks to all that have paid up so far.

Tipp Draw: The 2008/2009 Tipperary Draw will get underway at the end of the month and our draw coordinators will be calling on existing players in the next few weeks. New players are also welcome with €50 from every ticket going to the club.
The club are also offering a Lorrha Lotto/Tipp Draw package where for €200, you would be entered into the Lorrha lotto for one year (52 draws for the price of 50) and the Tipperary Draw. Anyone interested should contact the club secretary on 086-0515324.

Golf Classic: Lorrha GAA Club will be holding a Golf Classic in Birr Golf Club on Friday, 20 June. The entire day has been booked with the timesheet being operated by Mick Liffey (087-2578370) and Tony Coen (087-6219639). A team of four will cost €240 with a meal being provided afterwards. A good day is guaranteed.

Senior Hurling: We take on Cappawhite in the Division Two League semi-final on this Saturday, 17 May in Dolla at 6.30pm.
Our second championship match with Borris-Ileigh has been fixed for Nenagh on Sunday, 25 May at 7.30pm.

Junior Hurling: Lorrha took on Kildangan in the third round of the league on Tuesday. Report next week. Our final group game with Nenagh Eire Og takes place in Nenagh on Tuesday evening next, 20 May at 7.30pm.
The draw for the championship was made on Friday night. Lorrha will take on Nenagh Eire Og in the first round with Roscrea, Kildangan, Kilruane MacDonaghs and Toomevara also in our group.

Minor Hurling: The draw for the Minor ‘A’ Hurling Championship was made last Friday. The championship will began after the exams when Lorrha will play away to Portroe in the first round. Subsequent games will be Toomevara (home), Kildangan (away) and Borris-Ileigh (home).

Under 14 Football: Lorrha are now through to the semi-finals of the championship with this game likely to be played this week. Check fixtures for full details.

Jerseys: We would like to thank Terry and Bernie Naylor for coming on board as our sponsors for the coming year. These jerseys are also being made available to supporters and range in all sizes from ages 1-2 right up to XXL. You must get your orders into club secretary Shane Brophy over the next two to three weeks.

Best of Luck: The club would like to wish our club registrar Jack Maher, the best of luck as he leaves for his tour of duty to Chad with the Defence Forces on Sunday. Come back safe.

Lotto: The numbers drawn on 5 May were: 4 – 13 – 14 – 19. No Winner.
The Lucky Dips were: Barbara Tierney, Paddy Kennedy, Mark Corcoran, John Kennedy, Cathy Simmons. The Winning Promoters were: Martin Hough, Stephen Hogan and Brophy.

Old Time Dancing: Our Old Time continues in the GAA Clubhouse on Friday night to the music of Brian McDermott. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.
