November 8, 2018

U21 All Ireland: Best of Luck to Kevin & Patrick Maher and the Tipperary Under 21 team in this Sundays All Ireland Under 21 Final in Croke Park. Tickets for the game should be collected from the club secretary by Friday evening at the latest. A bus is also being organised to leave Lorrha at 9.45am and Rathcabbin at 10am to go to Dublin. Seats can be booked by contacting Shane Brophy on 086-0515324. It is hoped to see a big Lorrha crowd there with two players on the team.

Junior: Lorrha 1-14 Toomevara 0-17
Our Juniors remain in the championship, just, after a great tussle with Toomevara on Sunday evening in the North semi-final. Extra time was due to be played but the descending gloom meant it could not take place with the replay fixed for Saturday, 20 September in Cloughjordan at 4pm.
Lorrha started well with a Brendan Coen goal helping us to a 1-7 to 0-5 half time lead. The lead was maintained until ten minutes from them end when Toome struck for seven unanswered points but two late frees from Brendan Coen ensured a draw.

Minor: Lorrha take on Borris-Ileigh in the Minor ‘A’ Football Semi-Final in Puckane on Monday evening at 8pm.

U16: The Under 16 ‘B’ Hurling Final against Borris-Ileigh is set to take place next Wednesday evening in Nenagh at 6pm. Best of the luck to the team and mentors.

U14: The semi-final of the ‘B’ Championship against Moneygall took place on Monday after being rained off on Friday. Lorrha were 2-7 to 1-2 down with ten minutes but produced a remarkable comeback to force extra time after normal time ended 4-3 to 2-9. Lorrha powered on in extra time to win 5-11 to 4-9. Lorrha take on Ballina in the final which takes place this Thursday, 11 September in Nenagh at 6pm. Should Lorrha be successful, the county semi-final against Gortnahoe-Glengoole on either Saturday or Monday.
