Lorrha GAA News for 12 April

Lotto: Our jackpot now stands at €15,000. If our jackpot is not won, it will be capped at €15,000 with the roll over going onto the new jackpot which will start at €3000. Senior: Best of luck to the Lorrha seniors who get their County Championship campaign underway this Saturday, 12th April when they face Carrick Davins in GOLDEN at 5pm. Your support would be appreciated.

Junior: The Junior 'B' hurlers first league game is at home to Newport. Check North Bord fixtures for details.

Under 21 Football: Following a meeting last week, Lorrha won the toss to represent the North division in the Co U21 'B' Football semi-final and will face Rockwell Rovers on Easter Weekend. The North championship will be completed later in the year.

Minor Football: The Minor footballers lost 1-10 to 0-7 to Borrisokane in the opening round of the 'B' championship in Moatfield last Wednesday. Their next game is away to Portroe on Thursday, 17th April at 6.30pm

Under 14: The U14's began their campaign with a narrow 5-4 to 5-2 defeat to Portroe in Moatfield last Wednesday. Their next game is away to Silvermines in Dolla on Wednesday (this evening) at 6.30pm

Under 12: Well done to the U12's who defeated Ballinahinch in their third game, 3-1 to 1-3 in Shallee last Friday. Lorrha were due to play Shannon Rovers Gaels on Friday night but have received a walkover

Tipperary Minors: Congratulations to Brian Hogan who has been named captain of the Tipperary Minor hurlers for the coming year and is wished the best of luck in their first game against Limerick in the Munster Championship on this Thursday, 10th April at 7.00pm in the Gaelic Grounds.

Best of luck: to the Tipperary U21 Footballers in the Munster final against Cork.

Easter Camp: Lorrha GAA Club will be hosting an Easter Camp in Moatfield between Wednesday 23rd and Friday 25th April from 10am to 1pm each day. Cost is €20 per child.

Tipperary GAA Clubs Draw: We ask all promoters to keep their subscribers up to date as we come towards the end of the current draw.

Social Dancing: continues in the GAA Clubhouse on Friday night to the music of Josie Travers. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.

Sympathy: Lorrha GAA Club would like to sympathise with the Harding family on the death of Jack Francis Wyer, Tullamore, who died tragically last week. May he rest in peace.
