Lorrha GAA News for 12 June

November 8, 2018

Lotto: Our jackpot reached a record high of €18,950 this week. Thanks to everyone who is supporting our lotto, which is the clubs main source of fundraising. With the jackpot currently high, the number of players is growing by the week, particularly online on www.locallotto.ie where it is easy to play the lottery every week. Tickets are €2 each or three for €5.

Senior: The seniors suffered a heavy 2-19 to 1-10 defeat at the hands of Templederry in Toomevara on Saturday evening. It was another poor display and puts us out of contention for the North championship. We have one final group game against Borris-Ileigh in Nenagh on this Saturday @ 7.30pm.

Junior: With the championship beginning in three weeks, we are asking all players that have only trained sporadically or have yet to appear to attend training in the coming weeks ahead of the championship with Templederry our first opponents on this Sunday in Borrisokane @ 7pm.

U21: The U21 ‘A’ Hurling quarter final against Templederry is provisionally fixed for the end of June. All players are to attend training in preparation for the game.

Minor: The minor football semi-final against Portroe will take place on 23-24 June. The minor hurling championship is set to begin the following week.

They took on Portroe in the hurling championship on Tuesday last. News next week.
