Lorrha GAA News for 12 November

Thomas MacDonaghs: Congratulations Kevin Maher who lined out at right half back for Thomas MacDonaghs in their county senior football championship final win over Moyle Rovers in Cashel last Sunday.
This was a historic success for the North divisional side of whom Lorrha are a proud member and it is a proud moment to see a county senior medal come back to the area and the Maher family.
Hopefully in the years to come more of our players will become involved with the team and possibly restart the junior football team in Lorrha next year.

Lotto: The numbers drawn this week were: 3 – 14 – 25 – 29. No Winner.
The Lucky Dips were: David Madden, MFLFAL, Martina Reddish, M&B Mannion and Catherine & Paddy Fogarty. 
The Promoters were: Internet, Louis McCormack and Tony Coen.

Auction: Our annual auction will take place at the GAA Clubhouse on Sunday, 11 December @ 2.30pm. Timber cutting is now underway in earnest and going well so there should be plentyful supply of fuel, farm stuffs etc in the next month

Gym Opening Hours: Our gym is now open to the public; initially on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings from 7.00 to 9.30pm. For further information including membership rates for club members and non club members, contact Graham (087-9610002), Tadhg (087-4125642) or Sean (087-3643031).

Tipperary GAA Clubs Draw: So far this year, four prizes have come back to the club in the first six draws. With the AGM approaching we ask all promoters to bring their accounts up to date and contact coordinator Margaret Gleeson.

AGM: The AGM of Lorrha GAA Club will take place on Saturday, 17 December in the Clubhouse at 8.15pm. With the AGM approaching, final accounts will be prepared in the coming weeks, anyone with outstanding issues is to contact Treasurer, William Harding.

Scrap Metal: Thanks to all who donated items so far to our Scrap metal collection.
If anyone still has anything of any kind they want to get rid of, please contact any committee member.
We will gratefully accept donations of a wide range of metal, iron or steel items no longer in use such as old equipment, machinery or cars, containers, utensils, pots, pans, sink tops, radiators, pipes, barrels, garden furniture, garden toys, bicycles, gates, fencing wire, etc.

Sports Hall or Function Room booking: Anyone interested in using the Function Room, Sports Hall, Gym or the Clubhouse for any event can contact Sean Mannion on 087-3643031.

Old Time Dancing: continues on Friday night to the music of Nitewaves. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.
