Lorrha GAA News for 14 July

Senior: Lorrha have been drawn to play Ballingarry in the second round of the County Senior Hurling Championship. The game is provisionally fixed for weekend 21-22 July
Junior Hurling: The Juniors hopes of reaching the quarter finals ended on Saturday evening following a 2-17 to 0-10 defeat to Burgess in Puckane. We have one final group game to play against Knockshegowna later in the month.
Minor: Lorrha Rovers opening minor hurling game against Kilruane MacDonaghs was postponed last week. They will get their campaign underway next Thursday evening.
Under 16: The U16’s lost their opening game of the championship to Portroe in Moatfield last Sunday. Their next game is against Shannon Rovers in Moatfield next Monday evening @ 7.00pm.
Under 12: Lorrha will play either Ballinahinch or Templederry in the semi-final of the Premier 12s hurling in the coming weeks.
Tipperary: Well done to both the Tipperary minor footballers on retaining their Munster title last weekend.
Best of luck to Patrick Maher and the Tipperary senior hurlers as they aim to retain the Munster title against Waterford this Sunday in Cork. Also to the minor hurlers in the final against Clare and to the senior footballers in the qualifier with Wexford in Thurles.
Cúl Camp: This years Kellogg’s Cul Camp will be held in Moatfield from 16-20 July from 10am-2.30pm daily. Cost is €55 for 1 child; €100 for 2 children; €140 for 3 children. The camp is open to juveniles between the ages of 6 & 13. Each juvenile will get a Kellogg’s Cúl Camp jersey and gear bag. First Aid and Defibrillator Training: Anyone interested in taking part in this training course is to contact Shane Brophy (0876989612).
Sports Hall or Function Room booking: If anyone or any sports team would like to use of our facilities which include a sports hall, gym or training field with floodlights or function room, contact Sean Mannion on 087-3643031.
Social Dancing: continues on Friday night to the music of Midnight Melodies. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.
Sympathy: Lorrha GAA Club would like to sympathise with the Kennedy family, Ballyduff on the death of Pat Kennedy, Ballyduff and England who died over the weekend. May he rest in peace.
