Junior Football: Lorrha lost 1-14 to 0-4 to Inane Rovers in the first round of the North Junior ‘A’ Football Championship in Ballinderry last Tuesday evening. Lorrha face Borrisokane next Sunday in Ballingarry at 5.00pm needing a win to make the semi-final.
Minor Hurling: Lorrha Rovers take on Kilruane MacDonaghs in the next round of the Minor ‘A’ Hurling Championship in Moatfield on this Friday evening @ 6.00pm, needing a win to remain in the semi-final mix. The following week, Lorrha Rovers play Ballina in Ballinderry.
Under 14: Hard luck to the U14 hurlers who were defeated by Carrick Davins in the Co U14 ‘C’ Hurling semi-final in The Ragg last Saturday afternoon.
Tipperary: Well done to the Tipperary minor hurlers in last Sunday’s All Ireland final against Dublin in Croke Park and we look forward to the replay at the end of the month.
All Ireland Football Final Tickets: Tickets for the All Ireland Football Final will be drawn for among fully paid up club members only on Wednesday, 19th September at 9.00pm in the Clubhouse.
All Ireland Hurling Final Replay Tickets: Tickets for the All Ireland Hurling Final Replay on 30th September will be drawn for among fully paid up club members only on Wednesday, 26th September at 9.00pm in the Clubhouse.
First Aid and Defibrillator Training: The club will be organizing a course following healthy expressions of interest. We are currently looking at dates in September and October to hold the course.
Sports Hall or Function Room booking: If anyone or any sports team would like to use of our facilities which include a sports hall, gym or training field with floodlights or function room, contact Sean Mannion on 087-3643031.
Dancing Classes: Sean-Nós, Steps for Sets & Two Hand Dancing Classes will begin in the GAA Complex on Wednesday, 12th September for both adults and children. For more information contact Donie Morrissey on 087-9347968.
Social Dancing: continues on Friday night to the music of Footloose. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.
