Lorrha GAA News for 16 July

Munster Final: Well done to Patrick Maher who produced a superb performance in Tipperary’s brilliant Munster Final win over Waterford on Sunday.

Cúl Camp: The Lorrha Vhi Cul Camp gets underway next Monday morning in Moatfield at 10am. Best of luck to all involved and we hope our future stars enjoy the week. Anyone who still wishes to register their child for the week must do so online at www.gaa.ie

Gym Open Times: Our fully equipped gym is open on Monday’s, Wednesday’s and Friday’s from 7.00-9.00pm.

Senior: Lorrha take on Cashel King Cormacs in the first round of the County Senior Hurling Championship in Templemore on Sunday evening @ 7.15pm. Best of luck to the players and mentors.

Junior: The Juniors take on Kildangan in Borrisokane on Saturday @ 7.00pm needing a win to retain any hope of making the knockout stages.

Minor Hurling: The minors are back in action this Thursday evening in Ballingarry when we take on Roscrea. Throw-in @ 7.30pm

U16: The Under 16’s began their championship against Kildangan in Moatfield on Monday week last and suffered a heavy defeat. Last Monday, they took on Burgess in Kilcoman, news next week. Next Monday, Lorrha take on Shannon Rovers Gaels in Moatfield @ 7.00pm

U14: The U14’s produced a brave display but lost out to Ballina in Moatfield on Friday last. Tonight (Wednesday) Lorrha host Borris-Ileigh in Moatfield @ 7.00pm. Training every Thursday evening from 7.00 to 8.00pm

Premier 12’s: Lorrha had a very good win over Ballinahinch last week. The teams meet again in the quarter finals of Group 3 in Moatfield on this Friday @ 7.00pm. Best of luck to the players and mentors.
The Finals of the Premier 12’s hurling will be held in Moatfield on Saturday, 30 July. More details in the coming weeks.

Best of Luck: to Ken Hogan, Ciaran Haugh, William Maher and the Tipperary Under 21’s in the Munster semi-final against Cork in Thurles on Friday evening.

Super Camp: A Super Camp for 13-16 year olds, both boys and girls will be held in Dolla between 3-5 August. The cost of the camp is €40 but places are limited to 12 per club. Contact Louise Mannion 087-6598387.

Old Time Dancing: continues on Friday night to the music of Catherine & Images. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.

Sympathy: Lorrha GAA Club would like to sympthise with the Kelly family, Rathcabbin, on the death of Margaret Kelly who died last week. The Club also sympathises with the Slevin family, Nenagh on the death of Gerry Slevin. May they rest in peace.
