Lorrha GAA News for 16 July

Junior Hurling: Our championship match with Kildangan will take place in Ballinderry on this Saturday at 7.45pm.

Minor Hurling: Lorrha’s next game is away to Kildangan on Wednesday, 16 July (this evening) at 7.30pm.

Under 16: The Under 16’s took on Shannon Rovers Gaels in their second game on Monday evening. News next week.

Under 14: The game with Borris-Ileigh did not take place and has been rescheduled for this Saturday in Borrisoleigh at 3pm.

Under 12: North Under 12 ‘C’ Hurling semi-final: Lorrha v Newport in Nenagh on this Friday, 18 July at 7.30pm.

Under 8’s & 10’s: Training for both age groups continues on Saturday mornings at 11am.

Jerseys: The new Lorrha jerseys have arrived and are available for collection. All jerseys must be paid for when collected. There are also a number of jerseys in limited sizes available to buy. €35 for sizes 5-6 to 10-11 and €45 for sizes 13-14 to XXL.

Cul Camp: The Lorrha GAA Cul Camp is fast approaching and will take place next week. Five and six year olds are welcome to take part.

Tipperary: Commiserations to Ciaran Haugh who played a fine game at corner back on the Tipperary minor that lost the Munster Final to Cork. They now play Antrim in a quarter final on 26 July. Best of Luck to both Kevin & Patrick Maher who are on the Tipperary Under 21 team that will face Limerick in the Munster semi-final on this Thursday, 17 July in Semple Stadium while both Kevin & Patrick will join Ronan O’Meara and team captain Noel Hogan on the Tipperary Intermediate panel for the Munster Final against Limerick which will take place in Thurles on Wednesday evening, 23 July.

Lotto: The numbers drawn on 7 July were: 14 – 19 – 20 – 28. No Winner.
The €50 Lucky Dip winner was Bernie Mannion. The €20 Lucky Dip winners were: Annie Phelan, Michael Kennedy, Phyllis & Teddy, Billy Kennedy and Owen Clancy. The Winning Promoters were: Pat Hough, Kelly’s and Agnes Sherlock.

Old Time Dancing: Our Old Time Dancing continues on Friday night to the music of Brian McDermott. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.

Sympathy: Lorrha GAA Club would like to sympathise with the Hough family, Whitehall on the death of John Peters, Athy who died recently. May he rest in peace.
