Lorrha GAA News for 16 May

5-Year Plan: A second meeting to develop further our 5 Year Plan will take place this evening, Wednesday, 13th May in the Clubhouse at 8.30pm in which we will focus on the items that need to be in the plan. All are welcome to attend.

Lotto: The numbers drawn last week were: 7 – 21 – 24 – 27. No Winner.

Senior: The senior hurlers suffered a disappointing 1-14 to 0-9 defeat to Eire Og Annacarty in their second round game in the County Championship at The Ragg on Sunday evening. Lorrha now face Killenaule in their rearranged game on Saturday, 23rd May in Templemore at 7.30pm with the winner progressing to the knockout stages, along with Eire Og Annacarty. Regardless of the result, Lorrha have retained our Roinn 1 status for 2016.

In the North Championship, Lorrha will play in the second round on either 30-31 May or 6-7 June.

Junior Hurling: Lorrha have one final group game to play against Borris-Ileigh this Sunday in Moatfield at 12.30pm in which we need a win to confirm a place in the semi-finals of the league.

Under 14: Lorrha/Shannon Rovers take on Nenagh Eire Og in a semi-final playoff in the North 'A' Football Championship in Nenagh this evening (Wednesday) at 7pm. The winner will play Kilruane MacDonaghs in the semi-final while the loser will play Inane Rovers. The semi-finals will be played on Wednesday, 20th May at 7pm

Under 12: Well done to the U12 Footballers who defeated Ballina, 2-5 to 0-3 in the final in Portroe last Tuesday evening, retaining their title. Next Saturday, they will play South Tipperary opponents in the county semi-finals.

Tipperary Clubs Draw: The 2015/2016 Tipperary GAA Clubs Draw was launched recently with another impressive prize fund. For just €100, you will be entered into 12 monthly draws with 2 cars as top prizes each month with over €9000 in other prizes each month. Communion: Congratulations to all our young players who made their girst hold communion over the weekend.

Social Dancing: continues on Friday night to the music of Unity. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.

Blood Drive: The Irish Blood Transfusion Service return to Moatfield on Tuesday, 26th May from 3-5pm and 7-9.30pm.
