Under 12: Congratulations to our Under 12s who won Group3 of the Premier 12s Hurling with a 1-6 to 1-3 win over Moneygall in the final last Saturday afternoon in Ballinderry. It has completed an unbeaten captain for the panel and there were great scenes when captain Michael Houlihan lifted the winners shield.

Congrats also to selectors Dessie Clancy, James Dunne, Dermot Mannion and Louise Mannion. Lorrha now go onto the County End Games in Semple Stadium on Saturday, 25th August.
Senior: Lorrha will play Roscrea in the third round of the County Senior Hurling Championship on weekend 25-26 August.
Junior Hurling: The Juniors conceded the game to Knockshegowna last Sunday as we could not field a team after already being eliminated. We thank the players and mentors for the efforts after what was a tough year.
Minor Hurling: Lorrha Rovers have played a number of challenge matches in ana effort to get back on track ahead of the next game on Thursday, 26th August, away to Kildangan.
Under 16: Lorrha played Silvermines in their latest game last Monday evening, news next week. Next Monday, 20th August, Lorrha play Kilruane MacDonaghs in Cloughjordan @ 7.00pm
Tipperary: Best of luck to Patrick Maher and both the Tipperary senior and minor hurling teams in this Sunday’s All Ireland semi-finals against Kilkenny and Galway respectively.
Also best wishes to Caoimhe Kennedy (captain) and Megan O’Meara who are on the Tipperary Intermediate camogie team who play Derry in the All Ireland semi-final in Clonsilla, Dublin on Sunday next at 12.30pm
Commiserations to Ken Hogan, Cian Hogan, William Maher and the Tipperary Under 21 Hurling team following their heartbreaking late defeat to Clare in the Munster Final last Wednesday.
First Aid and Defibrillator Training: The club will be organizing a course following healthy expressions of interest. We are currently looking at dates in September and October to hold the course.
Gym: Our gym is open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings from 7.00 to 9.30pm. Gym cost is €3 per session for all club members and €5 per session for non members. For further information, Sean (087-3643031).
There is also a special class on a Thursday night for those who wish to train at a slower pace from 7.00-8.00pm.
Sports Hall or Function Room booking: If anyone or any sports team would like to use of our facilities which include a sports hall, gym or training field with floodlights or function room, contact Sean Mannion on 087-3643031.
Social Dancing: continues on Friday night to the music of Declan Aungier. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.
Parish Golf Outing: The Lorrha Parish Golf Outing takes place in Portumna Golf Club on this Saturday, 18th August. Timesheet is from 9.30pm to 12 noon and you can book your slot by contacting Tony Coen (090-9747972) or this years Captain Aidan McIntyre (090-9747016). Seamus Mannion is this years President.
