Senior: Well done to our senior hurlers who dug deep to beat Knockavilla Kickhams 3-20 to 2-20 in the County Championship – Seamus O'Riain Cup in Nenagh last Sunday. The result sees us progress to the quarter finals next month where we will be drawn against Toomevara, Templederry or JK Brackens.
Junior: Lorrha's next game is at home to Roscrea this Saturday 19th August in Moatfield at 7pm.
Under 16: Lorrha Rovers Gaels played Borrisokane in their final group game last Monday but were defeated 3-10 to 3-9. The defeat means they must play Burgess in a playoff this Thursday 17th August in Moatfield at 7.00pm with the winner playing Nenagh in the quarter final next Monday 21st August at 7.00pm
Under 12: Best of luck to the Under 12 hurlers who play Drom & Inch in the County semi-final on Saturday 19th August in Nenagh at 3.30pm
Tipp GAA Draw: The club had no winner in the August Draw which was held last Friday.
Fundraiser: The club has launched a 2500-to-1 fundraising draw with a prize fund of €10,000. We have 2,500 tickets valued from 1 cent to 2500 cents (€25) and when you accept to take a ticket, you scratch off a hidden section and the value in this section is what you pay for the ticket, it could be 1 cent, €25, or any value in between. All tickets bought will be entered into a draw in late September for a top prize of €5,000 with eleven ther prizes ranging from €2,000 to €200. Your support would be appreciated.
