Our jackpot now stands at €15,000. If our jackpot is not won, it will be capped at €15,000 with the roll over going onto the new jackpot which will start at €5,100. Senior: Lorrha are now awaiting a date for our county championship game with JK Brackens. This depends progress of the Tipperary senior hurlers and footballers over the next couple of weeks.

Junior Hurling: Lorrha got their championship campaign off to a winning start on Sunday with a 3-18 to 1-12 win over Ballina in Puckane. Lorrha are due to play Borris-IIeigh in round 2 next Saturday in Cloughjordan at 7.00pm.

The League final against Kildangan has been deferred until later in the month.

Minor: The Minor hurlers lost 4-18 to 0-10 to Kildangan in round 2 of the championship last Friday in Ballingarry. Lorrha face Templederry in round 3 in Nenagh this Thursday, 17th July at 7.30pm

Under 16: Well done to Michael Dolan, Tomas Kennedy, Leon Houlihan and David Sullivan who were on the Shannon Rovers Gaels team which won their second game in the championship last Monday week against Ballina. On Monday last they faced Moneygall. Next Monday they play Silvermines.

Under 14: The U14 game with Newport Gaels did not take place last week. This weeks game with Ballina is also off.

Under 12: The U12's will face Borris-IIeigh in the North 'B' semi-final this Friday in Moatfield at 7.30pm. The sides have met twice already with one win each. Best of luck to the team and all support would be appreciated.

Croke Park trip: The U12 panel and mentors went to Croke Park on Monday, 7th July last. They would like to thank David Needham (North Tipperary GDA) for inviting them and Croke Park for hosting the Blitz. The team and mentors got a tour before playing three matches in Croke Park against teams from Cork, Clare and Limerick, winning all three. They all came home tired including parents and supports who travelled with the panel. A good day was had by all.

Tipperary: Well done to Patrick Maher who was named Sky Sports Man of the Match in Tipperary's victory over Offaly in Tullamore last Saturday and to the footballers on their great win over Laois.

Best of luck to Brian Hogan and the Tipperary Under 21 hurlers in their Munster semi-final against Clare in Ennis this evening (Wednesday) at 7.30pm

Cul Camp: This years Kelloggs Cul Camp began in Moatfield on Monday last and continues until Friday.

Tipperary Draw: We had no winner in this months Tipperary GAA Clubs Draw which took place last Friday night.

Parish Golf Outing: The Lorrha Parish Golf Outing takes place in Portumna Golf Club on Saturday, 16th August with tee-times from 8.30am to 12pm. This years captain is Vincent Liffey while the President in Joe Morris. To book a tee time contact Vincent Liffey (0873328577) or Tony Coen (0876219639).

Day at the Galway Races: Tipperary County Board have organised a Day at the Races fundraiser in Galway on Monday, 28th July. For more details contact County Board office on 0504-22702

Social Dancing: continues on Friday night to the music of Jason Travers. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am. There are also Social Dancing classes each Wednesday night in the GAA Centre from 8-11pm for both beginners and those looking to improve.
